You can introduce your beauty business on The Beauty Exchange before deciding whether to accept online payments. A free provider profile supports discovery and messaging. Connecting Stripe is a separate choice for providers who want clients to book and pay through BEx.
What belongs on your profile
Give clients a useful picture of your business: the services you offer, current pricing, your location, and examples of your work. Write descriptions that match what you actually provide. Use only portfolio images you own or have permission to share, and request consent before publishing identifiable clients or their stories.
Think of the profile as an introduction. Clients can explore your work and start a conversation through BEx messaging. Keep the next step clear, and avoid promising availability or results you cannot support.
Starting without Stripe
Your profile can remain active for discovery and messaging without connecting payments. Clients can view your services, explore your portfolio, and message you to discuss an appointment. There is no monthly BEx fee, no setup fee, and no BEx platform fee on appointments that are not paid through the platform.
This gives you a way to build a clear public profile while deciding how online booking fits your business. It does not guarantee that clients will find you or that your calendar will fill.
When you connect Stripe
Providers who complete Stripe payment setup can accept bookings and card payments for services that support online booking. Where a Provider has configured calendar availability, clients can choose an available time. Other services may need to be arranged by message. Direct booking and payment are not available through every profile automatically.
Read your payment, payout, cancellation, and refund information before accepting a booking. Do not assume another provider’s policies apply to your services. This article does not promise payout timing or a particular refund outcome.
The fees in plain language
BEx charges a platform fee only on bookings paid through the platform. Rates depend on your applicable pricing and Provider tier. Stripe payment processing fees apply separately. Review the current fee schedule before accepting a booking.
